Angus Mohr, the man, stood large in the history of Scotland during the transition from the period of Viking raiders to more civilized times.

Angus Mohr, the band, stands large in the transition of traditional Celtic music to a celebration of Highland Rock & Roll. Hailing from Colorado's Front Range, Angus Mohr transforms conventional Celtic style and instrumentation into a unique, yet classic Rock sound. Combining Highland bagpipes and Irish whistles with electric guitars, bass, Hammond organ, synthesizers, and rock drums, makes for a kind of show the Rocky Mountain Highlands have never seen before.

Bring me my broadsword!!

Happy Holidays!
(Is it too early for that? I don't know...)
The
NEW new album is here! Hot off the press, like fresh pumpkin pie!

Many thanks to all of you who made it to the D Note for the Samhain Celebration. As always, we had a great time with all of you, and it sure seemed like you all enjoyed it quite a lot. You guys and gals were fantastic, there was great energy going on.

Mad props to Peace & Love & Jigs & Reels for their great show before us, and then rockin' with us for a few tunes. Also, I'd like to give a shout out to Gusty for his wicked didgeridoo and harmonica playing. It's always so much fun to play with great musicians!

Who the @#!$% are Ricky Fire & The Red Hot Voodoo Devils?

Perhaps you're wondering what is up with this Ricky Fire & Angus Mohr confusion. It may seem almost incomprehensable if you are unfamiliar with the history of the band. Ricky Fire is Angus Mohr, more or less. Ricky Fire began as a rock and blues band, and over the many years has metamorphosized into Angus Mohr. So in case you see the name Ricky Fire, it is the same band, just a slightly different show. Naturally, the music overlaps between the two groups. Ricky will be sure to bust out the bagpipes from time to time.

We're also on MySpace & indie911 (where you can listen to and download a couple of tunes). Join these online phenomena or else flying monkeys will beat you up and steal your lunch money. No really, it happened to a friend of mine. Once he joined MySpace, the monkeys left him alone. I swear. Those monkeys can be real bastards.

Speaking of MySpace, we apologize if you've tried to "friend" us, and your request was left unanswered. We promise that if you try again, we'll reply this time. Honest. No kidding. For sure. Really!!

While you're at it, check out our friends, The Tibetan Village Project.

And then Emial us at drunkensailor@angusmohr.com should you feel so compelled. Hopefully our website will continue to grow.
