Greetings one and all,
We hope everyone had a fine holiday season and is moving into the new year with a good heart and an eye to the future. To Angus Mohr, that means the Irish bacchanalia known as St. Patrick’s Day. The phone has been ringing and emails have been flying regarding performance possibilities. This has resulted in the busiest ever St. Pat’s schedule for us.
In a large nutshell, here is what has shaken out:
- Saturday, March 12, The Olde Town Arvada St. Patrick’s Day Festival has invited us back for an unprecedented 3rd year in a row to close out the festival from 4:15 to 6:00 PM.
- Saturday, March 12, The Odyssey Beerwerks St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. We will head to the Odyssey directly from the festival (we hope you will too—seating is limited, as they say) and begin the celebration at 8:30 and play until around 11:30.
- Thursday, March 17, the Fado St. Patrick’s Day Concert in Downtown Denver. We will be performing from 5:30 to 7:30 at this premier event. We would love to see many Angus Mohr fans decked out in their Angus Mohr-wear mixing in with and/or leading the madness.
- Friday and Saturday March 18 and 19, The Little Bear Saloon in Evergreen. This year the Little Bear is having its St. Patrick’s Day Celebration as a fine finale to the High Holy Days of Irish-ness. They were undecided whether Friday or Saturday would be best and decided to hedge their bets and have us there both nights.
So, five shows at four venues in eight days. It will take some serious stamina . We will be working out long and hard to get ready, and so should you if we are all to survive unscathed for Tartan Day in April.
We look forward to seeing you in March, and will stay in touch with progress on our recording projests.
Sincerely and faithfully,
